After meticulous scrutiny of all the girls on
the Sands, the choice becomes obvious to the Benevolent Twilight
Gold Hatchling. She makes her way over to Jenna and plants herself
there decisively, churring up at the girl.
It's a moment that lasts forever and one as sudden as the cold
wind brushing the back of your neck. Coolness encircles you and
drowns out the overwhelming warmth of the sands. It coddles you
and protects you from the chaos of all that is happening and you
are alone. But no, you are not alone, you are one. You feel that
stable presence, that caring entity as it slowly and sweetly enters
into your thoughts. And then that voice, clear as a mountain spring,
says to you, << Jenna! Jenna! I knew you would find me!
You just
|
had to look in the right place! >> The voice is
excited, but warm and welcoming and then, << You know,
you look exactly the way I thought you would. Oh, a little taller
perhaps, but then... >> And a sound like laughing enters
your head, becomes part of you, infuses your very being. <<
My name is Niyath.>> She adds at last.
Jenna was just starting to fidget again, and then her eyes are
drawn to the form just before her. Her jaw drops, absently turning
loose of Jamison. Overwhelmed would put it mildly. "Niyath?
Oh, yes. Yes! We found each other! Am I taller? I -" She
stops, for once not babbling, and just reaches a shaking hand
to sooth the queen's eyeridges. "My Niyath.
Treasure Chest Egg:
Even lines of brown are separated by thin shadowed breaks of black
and dark grey. Bronzed rivets hold ancient leather to each board-like
line, securing a look of a chest chock full of hidden secrets.
Aged bolts of long-rusted metal hold the hint of hinges along
the back of this monstrously large egg. Opposite this on the front
is a matching rusty lock-like splotch with the dark shape of a
keyhole that just longs for a golden key to be inserted, revealing
whatever rich treasure might be lurking inside. Could it be gems?
Jewels? Crowns of gold and silver? Coin enough to buy the entire
Eastern Continent? Only time will tell as this treasure chest
of old sits quietly, waiting for the time when it's due to open
and reveal all it's wonders. - By Leah
Toppling over on its side, an odd crack forms along the area of
the lock and seam of the Treasure Chest Egg. The top gets pushed
off, giving the appearance of being lifted, and reveals the wet
wings and head of a young Queen.
Benevolent Twilight Gold Dragonet:
Soft buttery hide flashes brilliantly like the stars in the midnight
heaven. Pinpoints of topaz and citrine and amber sparkle golden
across muscular flanks and showers of tawny cadmium and aureate
primrose are scattered from eye-ridges down her neck. Her hide
is a myriad of different golds and yellows mixed to become a vibrant
twilight without the evening blues and blacks. Long wings and
transparent sails are dotted with silver streaks and straw-colored
ticks like a star-shower. The long sinuous tail that seems to
constantly writhe behind her like a skirt caught in a wind is
a creamy flavous in color and also marked with sparkling speckles
of brighter gold and amber. She moves with a grace akin to the
wind and though her gait is that of a dragon, she shifts and turns
and almost makes as if she were flying across the ground. Careful
movements give her a comme il faut and genteel demeanor.- By Danielle
Name: Niyath
Your first name of Niya has made you a hard worker with a meticulous
sense of detail. You have a great deal of patience and independence,
and you can be relied upon to complete your undertakings. You
are stable, trustworthy, homeloving, and logical in practical
matters, but rather unresponsive to suggestions from others. You
resist change. This name does not give you great ambitions, vision,
or imagination. It frustrates the expression of your softer, feminine
qualities in that you find it difficult to express the depth of
your feelings for those you love. It limits you to practical matters
of the day, filling your life with detailed routine. hard work,
and monotony. - By Leah
Personality:
Niyath believes, and sometimes she's right, that she is wise beyond
her turns. This comes from her belief that she is the best judge
of those around her. She knows what is best for everyone, you
certainly included. And while she is far from meddling, she does
tend to put her say in many matters. She is a soft intrusion,
but stern as well. Niyath is extremely loving in her ministrations
- she is not a bully forcing her will, but rather a voice of reason,
of knowledge. Innocence surrounds so much of her; most of her
early thoughts and actions might seem like a child trying on a
grown-ups role. She is practicing. She knows in her heart that
someday she will be responsible for so much more and these early
actions are just her way of getting ready, of playing that role
without knowing the real emotions that might weigh on her in the
future. For now, she is content to play the role, not be it.
Niyath likes beautiful things and is fascinated with every new
world that she finds herself in. She always sees the loveliness
of her surroundings and will love to chatter at you about them.
<< The flowers! How the dew does make them sparkle so! >>
Stories - how she loves them! Mostly as the teller of tales, but
she will sit rapt if you decide to share with her. She loves to
involve others in her fables as well. One thing that may seem
different with your golden lifemate is her lack of vanity. Her
thoughts are almost never directly of herself, really, but of
those who surround her. - By Kate
Voice:
Sweet and melodic, as if she could sing any song she chose at
any time, her voice echoes in your mind with the matter-of-fact
tones. Never does she sound doubtful, though she'll vocalize her
inner debates to you as she makes her decisions. Her voice is
warm and secure, it's where you feel you belong, where you find
home.
Inspiration:
Wendy Moira Angela Darling, heroine of the Peter Pan story, Peter's
first love who helped him sew his shadow back on and returned
with him to Neverland to be a 'mother' for him and the Lost Boys.
"Now Peter, lets stop pretending and be practical."
- Wendy Miora Angela Darling, from the story The
Adventures of Peter Pan
Themesong: 'Mother' by Donna Lewis
Played at the hatching by P'ter
